Additional important information for vacation rental:

The city of Konstanz charges its visitors a visitor’s tax of 2.50€ per adult, per day.  The fee will be assessed by the renter and will added to the total price of the booking.

This tax can be waived in certain cases: Children up to 16 are free of charge. Guests who are working in Konstanz can provide their employer information upon registration, and the visitor’s tax will be waived.  The guest must be working within Konstanz—no tax exemption is granted for work within neighboring regions or Switzerland.  If a working guest is bringing family, other adults in the family must pay the fee.

Upon payment of the fee, the guest receives a guest card. This card enables you to enjoy discounts and some services free of charge all around the Lake Constanz - for example, public transportation by bus in the city of Constanz is free with the card.  Children up to 16 are included on a parent’s card.
